Family Ministry Pastor

At Hunter First  - Fall 2024

We are actively seeking God's leading for a Spirit-led and experienced Family Ministry Pastor (FMP) who will help lead, love, and disciple our families. Our FMP will lead/oversee the Next Generation Ministries of Hunter First Baptist (Birth - High School). He will work directly with the Kids and Student Ministries of Hunter First by building ministry teams, partnering with parents, and shepherding the next generation to know and love Jesus.

  • How will we make mature disciples?

    • We seek to develop disciples of Jesus Christ by intentionally investing time in: ​​

    • Scripture - Seeing Christ

    • Relationships - Sharing Christ

    • Service - Showing Christ

  • What is a transformational community?

    • ​Transformational communities seek to provide a place where believers belong to each other, care for each other, and invest in each other. ​​

  • A godly man who is actively seeking to meet the requirements of an elder as laid out in 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 3.

  • Agree doctrinally with the Baptist Faith in Message (2000).

  • Passionate about the gospel and the Great Commission.

  • Dedicated to learning and teaching God’s Word.

  • Leadership skills, discipleship experience, ministry experience, communication skills.

  • Teachable, humble, team player, and motivated.

  • Oversee Kid’s Ministry, Students Ministry, and College Ministry programs and events.

  • Create an exciting environment to connect the next generation with God, His Word, and His Church.

  • Organize and equip Next Generation Ministry Teams and volunteers by adequately scheduling and training qualified leaders to reach and disciple students.

  • Uphold student safety and policies at all times in all gatherings.

  • Build intentional relationships with the families.

  • Encourage, equip, and resource parents as the primary role in discipleship.

  • Assist in the overall health and unity of the church.  

  • Serve on the Hunter First Baptist Church Caring Well Team.
