Hebrews 10:1-25
If Christ's sacrifice on the cross was fully sufficient in atoning for our sins (Hebrews 10:14), then wouldn't Christ be fully sufficient in every other area of our lives as well?
Most believers seem to be living depend upon Jesus for their salvation, but then dependent upon themselves for everything else. Our self-sufficiency mutes the gospel message because our goal is to magnify the worth of Jesus Christ and not ourselves. When we find that He is sufficient for all of our needs, it allows us to confidence in life (Hebrews 10:19), access to the Father (Hebrews 10:22), perseverance in trials (Hebrews 10:23), and the ability to invest our lives in others as the end of life draws near (Hebrews 10:24-25).
