James 4:6-12
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will exalt you.
James says that God gives grace to believers who are struggling to reject their worldly passions. The one simple condition for receiving God's grace is our humility. C. S. Lewis said, "A proud man is always looking down on things and people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something that is above you."
