Humanity's plaguing problem is their deep desire to find satisfaction their own and not in God.
In this familiar miracle, Jesus teaches the crowds that He is the only thing satisfying enough to quiet their eternal cravings. This fulfillment is not earned, it is given by the Father to anyone who believes. Believing that Jesus is Lord means reorienting your life around trusting Him fully. True belief alone grants complete satisfaction in life.
