There is one major hindrance to our spiritual growth and it may not be what you may think.

Sin, laziness, apathy, ignorance, and busyness are all culprits that take our focus off of the Lord and therefore affect our spiritual growth. But one hindrance that Jesus identifies in His ministry may take the ultimate prize in our lives; forgetting what Jesus has done for us. Christians often grow more independent because they have forgotten how much they need Christ. As Christians remember their need for Christ, they will depend on Him and pursue Him more everyday.
